The English definition of Butokukan is, "Training Hall of the Virtues of the Martial Arts". We have broken up the three elements of the word Butokukan. Bu = Martial. Military affairs. Toku = Virtue. Honor. Kan = Training hall.

It is J.A.B.K.A.'s hope that all members of this association will live up to the names of J.A.B.K.A. and Butokukan, while expanding their personal knowledge and surpass their own personal goals.
